Prior to working for the Cabot Police Department, Kevin Marty was in the United States Air Force where he worked as a Law Enforcement Specialist/Military Working Dog Handler. He retired after 15 years in the military and started work as a Jailer at the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office. He worked as a Jailer for a little more than a year and came to the Cabot Police Department in March of 1996.
Kevin Marty started as a Patrolman for the Cabot Police Department and was sent to the Arkansas Law Enforcement Training Academy where graduated at the top of the class in Academics. In 1997, he was selected to work the department’s canine, Sasha. In 1998, he was selected as Officer in Charge (OIC). The OIC supervises the patrol shift in the absence of the Sergeant. Kevin Marty was selected as Officer of the Year for 1998. He was promoted to Sergeant in 2001. He was selected to fill a vacancy as a Patrol Sergeant. Kevin Marty was promoted to Lieutenant and was assigned as the Patrol Division Commander in 2006. In 2008, Kevin Marty was the first Special Operations Response Team (SORT) Commander when the team was formed. He held this position until he resigned from it in 2021. In 2016, he was promoted to Captain and stayed assigned as the Patrol Division Commander. Kevin Marty was transferred to take over as the Professional Standards Division Commander in 2018 where he is still assigned today.
