Business Licenses
The City of Cabot requires all businesses to obtain a business license to conduct business within the city limits. For convenience the city offers an online licensing platform that enables businesses to apply, renew, and pay fees. If you are a sole proprietor or if your business is operated out of your home, you are also required to have a business license. Non-Profits will need to apply for a business license and abide by all zoning and code regulations.

*Sole Proprietor - A sole proprietor is someone who owns an unincorporated business by himself or herself. However, if you are the sole member of a domestic limited liability company (LLC), you are not a sole proprietor if you elect to treat the LLC as a corporation.
Business License Approval
Once you have applied for a business license, your information will be sent to the Planning and Zoning Department. Each business will be required to go through appropriate zoning, code and fire protection evaluation of the property they plan to occupy. The Clerk's office will issue a business license upon completing all required documentation and payments.
Business Licenses Renewal
The license fee shall be due and payable by June 1st. Any payments made later than July 1st of each year are delinquent payments and shall be subject to a penalty of twenty-five percent (25%).
If a business changes location within the city limits, please contact the Clerk’s office. There are no additional fees for change of address.
