Adoptable Pets at Our Shelter 

TERMS USED:

If a dog/cat is a stray then the Shelter must wait 5 business days before the animal is available for adoption.  If there is nothing in front of their name then they are here and ready for adoption.

  • (Found):  If the term "found" is in front of their name then the dog/cat is still within the 5 business days and it has "NOT" been placed a hold by a potential adopter.
  • (Hold):  If the term "Hold" is in front of their name then the dog/cat is still within the 5 days and it "HAS" has been placed on hold by a potential adopter 
  • (PM):  If there is a "PM" behind the cat’s name then the cat is located off-site at Petsmart In N. Little Rock.
  • (SP):  If there is a "SP" behind the cat’s name then the cat is located off-site at Safari Pets in Cabot.
  • (FS):  If there is a "FS" behind the Dog/Cat’s name then the Dog/Cat is located off-site at a Foster Home.  Contact Cabot Animal Shelter 501-843-2021 to arrange to meet the animal. 
  • (WC): A working cat is a domestic cat, usually of mixed breed, that lives primarily out-of-doors, in a feral or semi-feral condition. These cats are useful for businesses and farms where vermin are a common problem. They are not companion animals. If you are interested in a barn cat, please fill out this application. 
  • (#): If there is a number after the cat's name, this is just means that the cat looks very similar to another. The numbers are simply a means of identification. 


IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN ADOPTING ONE OUR ANIMALS, PLEASE CALL THE SHELTER AT (501) 843-2021. ADOPTIONS ARE HANDLED ON A FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED BASIS.

Once you have adopted your new pet, make sure to register them on Finding Rover. If every they get out, you can label them as "missing" and Finding Rover will use facial recognition to search local databases for found pets matching their picture.
